Take it from me that watching my teen wast away wasn't a joke, it nearly killed her, it took nearly two years to get her back to a young healthy girl and I thank God she is doing fine now.

Heres how we found out she had a eating disorder, after one evening meal she when straight to the toilet and as the wife was passing the door she heard her being sick.

On coming out my wife asked her if she was Ok and she said she was fine and her mum was hearing things, any way, this happened afew times so we asked her friends if she was being sick at school and yes she was making her self sick just to say slim like the top models.

She had this thing in her head that only young men or teenage boys fanced thin girls and the only way to stay slim was to fast or be sick after each meal

It was so deeply inbedded in her mind that with help from our doctor, professional counselling we slowing got her back on track, at one stage her heart stopped and by pure luck a doctor was at hand and got her heart going again.

Four weeks she spent in hospital on a drip feed, it was the only way they could feed her as she was so weak and frail, after six weeks she came home.

Still thin and like a bag of bones, we watched her 24/7, family and friends rallied around when we when to work or needed to go shopping.

You should of heard some of the names she called us, ok, we did bully her a bit and now we can laugh about it, but at the time it was frightening to say the least, so if you think your teen is losing to much weight, get help now...
